It is a salt formed by the combination of sodium sulfate and sodium ions, with the chemical formula of Na2SO4. Sodium sulfate is soluble in water, and its solution is mostly neutral, soluble in glycerol but insoluble in ethanol. Inorganic compounds, high-purity and fine-grained anhydrous substances are called anhydrous sodium sulfate. Sodium sulfate, white, odorless, bitter crystal or powder, is hygroscopic. It is colorless, transparent, large crystal or small granular crystal. Sodium sulfate is easy to absorb water when exposed to air, and sodium sulfate decahydrate, also known as mirabilite, is alkaline. Mainly used for manufacturing water glass, glass, porcelain glaze, paper pulp, refrigerant mixture, detergent, desiccant, dye diluent, analytical chemical reagent, pharmaceuticals, feed, etc. At 241℃, sodium sulfate will transform into hexagonal crystal. Sodium sulfate is the most commonly used post-treatment desiccant in organic synthesis laboratory. Upstream raw materials include sulfuric acid, caustic soda, etc.
