Properties: reddish transparent monoclinic crystal. Soluble in water and alcohol.
Preparation method: It is prepared by the reaction of manganese and acetic acid. Firstly, manganese metal is soaked 5min 5% nitric acid for 5 minutes, then rinsed several times with distilled water until the pH value is 8. Then, acetic acid is added for the synthesis reaction, the crude manganese acetate is prepared first, and then a small amount of activated carbon is added to remove metal ions such as iron and lead. Then, filter, adjust the pH of the filtrate to 3-4 with acetic acid (chemical purity), evaporate to a relative density of 1.30, and then cool, crystallize, centrifuge and dry (below 50℃) to obtain the finished product. Raw material consumption (kg/t): industrial acid (industrial product) 1100; Manganese (industrial products) 380; Nitric acid (industrial product) 10.
Usage: This product is the raw material of polyester resin-catalyst for high-temperature oxidation of xylene. It can also be used as a mordant for dyeing, a desiccant for paints and varnishes, and a catalyst for oxidation.
